STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes His completed and final revelation to man. The Bible, in its original autographs, is without error in whole and in part. God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God in human flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin. All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act, and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary atoning death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection. Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to by individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.
ANNUAL HOMESCHOOL CONVENTION
Held annually on the 2nd (second) full weekend of May at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, the CHAP Homeschool Convention serves to promote excellence in homeschooling. Featured are: nationally known speakers, exhibitors displaying their educational products and services, and numerous workshops on a variety of homeschool topics. With attendance of over 7,000, it is easy to see that home education is a growing conviction with many. When registration material is available, it will be listed on our Convention page. Please check the CHAP Magazine, CHAPeNews and the CHAP Facebook page for convention updates.
The CHAP Magazine is mailed to families across the state, and is a source of motivation and encouragement to homeschooling families. The magazine contains informative articles by qualified authors focusing on helping families achieve their homeschool goals. Each issue may also include upcoming events, issues pertinent to homeschoolers, and products and services of benefit to the homeschool community. The CHAP Magazine is delivered to your mailbox as a full-color, quarterly mailing.
A Word of Encouragement – Homeschooling is a rapidly growing movement in Pennsylvania and across the nation. This, in turn, has led to the development of many support groups within the state which provide encouragement to your family as you homeschool. We encourage you to reach out and get involved with other homeschoolers in your area. Don’t hesitate to call your local support group or CHAP and ask for help.
