The CHAP Essay Contest is back by popular demand!
Who can enter?
The essay contest is open to all traditionally (parent directed, private) homeschooled students between the ages of 10 to 18.
What do I write my essay on?
This year’s essay contest will be based on the Convention theme verse:
Psalm 78:5b-6 “Teach this testimony and law to your children, so that the next generation would know it, so that the children not yet born would themselves arise and tell their own children, who could then put their confidence in God.”
Each participant should write on what this verse means and how it applies to the student.
How long should my essay be?
The essay should be no more than 1,000 words in length (typewritten and double spaced).
Will the contest be broken into different age groups?
Yes. There will be 2 age groups; 10-14 years old and 15-18 years old.
When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced during a brief ceremony at the CHAP Convention on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
What are the prizes?
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each age group.
How do I enter?
Entries must be submitted online at www.chaponline.com.
When can I enter?
Entries must be submitted between January 1st and March 15th.
