What’s the Difference?

Homeschooling experienced a resurgence beginning in the 1970′s and 1980′s. Ever since recorded history, homeschooling was the norm for families raising their children. It wasn’t until the early 1900′s that government intervention was established to first force and then entice parents to send their children to government-run institutions.

Today, there is much confusion about what is and what isn’t homeschooling. Are charter schools, virtual public schools, cyber schools, and public-school-at-home the same thing as homeschooling?

Our goal is to help you understand what “homeschooling” is and what it is not.
